Green garden at Mekong Pottery Homestay

Our Commitment To A Green-Friendly Homey Retreat

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Mekong Delta, our home away from home is a hidden sanctuary for eco-conscious travelers seeking an authentic and sustainable experience. This enchanting homestay embraces a profound commitment to eco-friendliness, making it a top choice for responsible tourists.

Here at our family, environmental preservation takes center stage. From the construction of their traditional, locally-sourced materials (red bricks) to the use of solar power and harvesting systems, every aspect of this place resonates with sustainability. Our home-grown gardens flourish, providing fresh ingredients for delectable home-cooked meals served in eco-friendly utensils.

On top of that, our family goes above and beyond to preserve and promote the local culture. Born and raised in this loving land where the locals are more than friendly and a rich history of a "Newfoundland" where the Kings decided to go down south for the new settlement, we love every aspect of this thriving wetland more than anything else.

Staying with us, you have the opportunity to immerse in traditional pottery-making techniques, learning from skilled artisans who have honed their craft for generations.

Local Mekong Delta Pineapple Wine

GreenFarm "Tắc Cậu" Pineapple Wine

Greenfarm began its journey in 2018 with Tac Cau pineapple wine, created during a time when the value of Tac Cau pineapples had plummeted. Driven by a desire to preserve this local treasure, we crafted a unique pineapple wine.

Over the years, Greenfarm has remained committed to traditional artisanal methods. Our wine is made from ripe Tac Cau pineapples, organic cane sugar, and rice wine, all fermented in unglazed Bat Trang ceramic jars.

The result is a light, 8-degree wine, reminiscent of fermented fruit juice, best enjoyed over ice.

Reed Straws

Reed Straws

Unlike plastic straws that linger for centuries, reed straws biodegrade naturally, returning to the earth without leaving a lasting footprint.

The production of reed straws requires minimal processing. They are typically hand-harvested, cleaned, and cut, without the need for harsh chemicals or energy-intensive procedures.

Refill Water In Glass Bottles

Refill Water In Glass Bottles

Refillable glass bottles are a proactive step towards reducing plastic consumption. By choosing reusable containers, we actively minimize waste.

By opting for glass bottles, we actively reduce our carbon footprint, contributing to a cleaner atmosphere and mitigating climate change.

Refill Bathroom Amenities

Refill Bathroom Amenities

By refilling rather than discarding, we conserve water, energy, and materials that would otherwise be expended in the production and disposal of single-use items.

Traditional single-use toiletries generate mountains of plastic waste, much of which ends up in our oceans and ecosystems. By opting for refillable amenities, we contribute to the global effort to combat plastic pollution.

Solar Energy Shower

Solar Energy Shower

Solar Energy Showers are powered by the sun's radiant energy, converting sunlight into heat. This means no reliance on electricity or conventional heating methods.

By foregoing electricity or gas-powered heating, they significantly curtail greenhouse gas emissions that stem from conventional water heating methods. This small switch creates a substantial positive impact on our planet's health.

Wheat Straw Toothbrush

Wheat Straw Toothbrush

Unlike conventional plastic toothbrushes that can linger in landfills for centuries, wheat straw toothbrushes are designed with biodegradability in mind. When disposed of properly, they break down naturally.

Wheat straw toothbrushes don't compromise on quality. They boast the same durability and functionality as their plastic counterparts, ensuring effective oral care while reducing plastic usage.

TPA Gray Recycled Desktop

TPA Gray Recycled Desktop-Friendly Workspace

We partner with PLASTICPeople, a Saigon-based startup dedicated to transforming plastic waste into practical, safe, and beautiful materials that benefit both the environment and society.

Our laptop-friendly desk is made from TPA. Unlike wood, this material won't rot, crack, warp, or splinter. It's resistant to UV rays, water, and stains, while being flame-resistant and offering excellent sound and thermal insulation.
